These images may help. Printing the helmet upside down will help you save materials. This print was done Chris Zoh and he used clear PLA. He used a default setting in S3D. The support structures were easy to remove without marking any scratch to the surface.
Looking Beautiful. A little Rub N Buff and then a clear lacquer finish to give it a layered finished that will really show off how well you printed that.
Hey Larry,
I know this post was a long time ago but i would love to know how you went about printing the skirt if you did?
The file is a bit too big for my printer but I'm concerned if I print the side parts separate i might struggle to reattach them securely.
Would also love to know any steps you took to make the skirt stay on/up when being worn :)
Thanks heaps
Dylan
Larry,
This looks great. How did you orient the helmet on the bed? Upside down or right side up? What type of filament did you use?
