I have tried to download several of your files just to try on my printer, however everyone I tried gave a page error or page not found. Have these been removed or is it a simple link error? Thanks
Here's the final pieces taped together. When I glue them, the seams should get tighter together. Printed in PLA. CC3D Antique Gold, Mike3D Silk White and Silk Black. Two noticeable issues with the file are due to separate pieces needing to be booleaned out from one another. The faceplate needs to trim out a sliver of the cheek/jaw to sit flush before printing, and the ear probably was not meant to be printed as a separate piece, because now it does not sit properly within the hole. Overall though, it's great model with a lot of surface detail. Thanks!
Good call, I run into same issue - I thought I have screwed up something. Since I already did a lot of work on it I'm now fixing it with a lot of sculpturing ;)But this was my first attempt to do it anyway, so... learning curve...
As mentioned above. It would be really nice if the ear pieces were attached. The rest of the helmet fit together great but Iโm having a heck of a time getting the ear plates to look decent. And for some reason the donโt really fit in the recessed area very well.
The circumference of my head is 22.75", and I had to scale the helmet up by 30% in Rhino to fit it onto my digital mannequin head. The issue is the helmet width is extremely narrow to fit the movie proportions. You will not be able to fit into this helmet if you print it as-is. Unless my 3D modeling program messed up the units, but I opened it in mm as standard.
@Derek Woods that is correct - I scaled mine 20%, and I can stick my head in it, but I get a lot of spare height (which I will likely use to stick electronics inside).
sure, thank you, but not everyone knows how to do that. Since the rest of the parts were available, I was expecting to see the other parts as well. I appreciate your reply
Any tips on printing the split parts Iโm on a Prusa mk3 and the main shell doesnโt quite fit. itโs there a best orientation for min supports and Iโll have to add a split maybe chin with magnet attachment but canโt get a good split on a contour in slicer ? Thanks for the model looks cool
Many people are using Creality Ender 3 or Ender 5 Plus 3D printers. You can buy them on amazon. Some prefer cr10. You can ask all your questions here! https://www.do3d.com/forum/questions-answers-q-a
