Can someone tell me how can I print the back cover? Whenever I click download file, it sends me to google drive and I can only open the whle helmet without the back cover.
First print from these peeps...I would double check sizing prior to printing. These are still very small even with the so called "upscale"...I have scaled up 110% and my print will be a very tight fit, if it even fits. I've checked both face cut model and the stationary version. I have an average size head nothing abnormal.
I mean scaling should go without saying when printing a large project. Seldom you’ll get that lucky and everything will just fit. I’m printing at 100% and it seems a little big honestly.
Wow, you brought my dream to reality. Unfortunately the parts are too large to print on Ender 3 size printers, it will be very helpful if you release a version which can be printed on Ender 3 size printers. I understand that your time is much valuable than people like us so there there won't be any hard feelings even if you don't grant my wishes :)
I want to update my comment about the size of helmet for starboost, there is a new version with faceplate separate and helmet is already resized to bigger size
Yes I reprinted the faceplate version the way it appears on the build plate, perfect with some extra room for padding.
My upper body is being printed at 110% and all my arms and legs at 100%
I'm 6 foot tall bang on.
But very slim and this suit is huge lol, I only have 4 bits left to print, might have to reprint hands, elbow and neck TPU parts in PLA for back ups as I will be modding parts all over the suit for lights, voice changer, smoke, and sounds.
I'm nearly at the stage where it gets turned into a wearable suit, really looking forward to it but I'm a bit burned out from printing night and day non stop since the printer arrived 17 rolls of filament since I started this suit lol
Printed! Unfortunately I will need to print again because I didn't measure well enough, but it looks fantastic! Is there any possibility they helmet with be updated at some point with the eyes already attached as a seamless piece (I know not practical for actual seeing through it), I have plans to try to cast the whole head in clear resin and then metalize to make the whole faceplate a sort of visor, to get that real astronaut look.
I've shared your blog with my colleagues. They've found it valuable too!

Update

we can give you the eye attached version, please contact info@do3d.com to request. Thank you.
Lol mine was the same, also looks great, can be turned into an awesome desk/cabinet display piece, and practice for the big one.
I had to start my full suit build all over again, my dog smashed mine into pieces lol
I'm going 3 walls thick on everything now.
Good luck on your next helmet, I have to print everything 110% , so if you have a bit of a pumpkin head you might want to go 115%, or 120%.
