We have been in the 3D printing game for 7 years now. Over that time we have stuck with Robo3D printers as our main work horse. Although we started with basic Slic3r software, we have since upgraded to Simplify3D. The biggest thing leading us to this switch was the addition of a dual extrude system on our Original Kickstarter Robo3D R1. Simplify3D has great tunability for setting, however, it is limited in it's functions compared to other slicer programs. My main issues with the software are the lack of newer infill options and the workflow with various materials. Recently we have added a Pallette 2S Pro to our system. This has brought the ability to complete multicolor and multimaterial prints. Although we are still tuning the system to the printer, many features are used on a regular basis. Over the years we have completed some great projects including an at home quadcopter, an aerial precision agricultural platform, printed bike frame, and more recently face shields and masks for healthcare and first responders.
