I use the PowerSpec 3D pro 2 as my main printer. It is a “closed box” designed printer with dual extruders and a heated build plate. For filament I use inland abs and pla and have no complaints there. For software I design on Autodesk 2020 and slice on Cura or replicator g.
It was my first ever printer and I have used it for over two years now. I think it is great, I love the dual heads because you can print multicolor pieces or you can avoid switching filament as much by loading a different color in each head then only using one at a time to print (ex Red in right, Blue in left). In addition since the printer is closed up it heats up much quicker and keeps the temperatures more stable for better prints.
the only con I have is that the software it comes with (Replicator G) is very limited in settings and control, once you get more advanced. Things like different speeds at different layers and minimum cooling time per layer are not able to be implemented unless you modify the code heavily after it is created, which I do little of. However since it is basic it was very user friendly when I first started out.
