I'm new at 3D printing although Anycubic is my very first printer i bought for more then 3 years and recently i use CCtree PLA filament, and for softwares i like to use Fusion 360, Blender, meshmixer and Cura.
Anycubic i3 Mega :
Pros :
Easy to use in terms of using menu on the printer, i often print using SD card.
Easy to change spare parts by our own.
Silent print.
Cheap in spare parts and easily to find on social market place.
Cons :
Bed leveling is so frustrating. But the solution is i have to bed leveling while printing to find the right level for each side.
Sometimes (for my printer personally) printing first layer tight angle / corner tends warping and not stinking unto the bed, even using the right amount of heat bed. The solution is using a masking tape covering the bed. And i found out this comes handy BUT it's harder to peeling off the 3D print from the bed.
Extruder tends to skipping, seems have to upgrade to a better extruder.
The print size is a bit small if using for some big projects. This makes me have to cut several parts.
CCtree PLA Filament :
Pros :
Easy to use in terms of print temperature.
Less brittle (i never found in every of my print using cctree).
Cheap but not cheaper product with a good quality for it's price. That's why i like to using for my personal projects.
I use ST-PLA, according to Amazon.com, STA-PLA is an upgrade Non brittle PLA with real good strength and impact resistance,High rigidity and Good Glossiness. So for a cheap prize i think it's worth.
Cons :
I can't say much for the cons because i just used is for a month and didn't found a major problems.
For 3D software modeling, i usually use Fusion 360 more often then Blender.
Fusion 360:
Pros :
It's good for precision and accuracy in measurement
It's software can direct 3D printing without saving into SLA
It's saving every our work on cloud (and it's a must from fusion 360 every time we want to exit or print or export)
Cons :
It's not free but you can get a free with limited features if you submit as a personal use / hobbyist
it's difficult to use IF you don't give your time learning for every function that will be used in your modelling
you need to log in / sign in, and every time if your not using it for a long time
Blender :
Pros:
Easy to use
Free
Got many features!
You can sculpt
Cons:
Sometimes you need to learn how to scale right for 3D printing
For slicer program i usually use cura for slicing and meshmixer. Meshmixer just for slicing into several parts or editing some minor issues on STL.
